金年会設計創意系順應“中國制造2025浙江行動綱要”之要求，契合杭州打造國際性時尚之都定位和浙江省“十三五”重點扶持發展時尚産業需要，以魯冠球三創精神為引領，秉承“明德、慎思、崇實、創新”之校訓，立足浙江、面向長三角，旨在培養以文化傳承、時尚創新、智造引領為内涵的有創意、善設計、會創業、懂經營、具有國際視野的高素質複合型技術技能人才。

設計創意系由服裝設計與工藝、工業設計、工商企業管理（創業管理方向）、人文與藝術和思想政治理論5個專業（或專業方向）組成。其中服裝設計與工藝專業是浙江省優勢專業和國家骨幹專業。

學系擁有一支結構合理、師德高尚、教學水平高、專業能力強、專兼結合的“雙師型”教學團隊，現有教職員工51人，其中教授3人，副教授及其他副高職稱教師13人，具有碩士以上學位的38人，雙師型教師28人，省級專業帶頭人3人，杭州市131人才第三層次培養對象3人；近三年獲國家級、省級教研科研項目6項，杭州市産學對接項目3項，浙江省新世紀教改課題和浙江省課堂教學改革課題等省、市廳級以上課題20餘項，教師教科研水平得到不斷提高。

學系秉承改革創新理念，重視專業内涵建設，踐行全人發展教育理念，形成了刻苦求學、奮發向上、開拓進取的學風和教風。課程建設取得成效，育人成果豐富，共獲得省級精品課程1門，省級在線資源開放課程2門，市級精品課程8門，6門院級精品課程。學生在各級專業技能大賽中屢創佳績，曾獲全省大學生中華經典誦讀競賽二等獎、全國職業院校技能大賽高職組服裝設計與工藝比賽三等獎、浙江省民生民意杯市場調查與統計大賽二等獎。學生參加各項大賽共獲國際設計界權威大獎“IF獎”、IDEA、紅點設計獎各1項，國家級大賽獎10餘項，省級大賽50餘項，市級大賽60餘項。

學系推行“教、學、做”一體的人才培養模式，強化學生崗位技術技能培養。擁有服裝工藝、服裝制圖、服裝立體裁剪、服裝CAD實訓室、工業設計創新設計工作室、管理沙盤實訓室、營銷實戰實訓等30餘個校内專業實訓室，建有浙江白鳥服飾有限公司、華立﹡創客社區、杭州騰赢工業産品設計有限公司、浙江省博物館、五四憲法資料陳列館、南京民間抗戰博物館、都錦生故居等校外實踐基地。同時将地域非物質文化遺産的傳承作為學生人文素質培養和學院服務地區文化建設的重要載體，先後獲得“浙江省非物質文化遺産傳承教學基地”、“國家級非遺項目高校創意工作室”（支持單位：文化部非遺司）、“杭州市非物質文化遺産高校研究基地”、“西湖區非遺大學堂”等稱号。 

學系專業建設國際化水平不斷提升，對外交流活躍。曾舉辦學院首個國際服裝學術研讨會，先後與加拿大約克大學、香港理工大學和昆山科技大學等海内外知名高校簽署了合作協議，先後派遣37名學生赴香港理工大學、香港知專設計學院進行“3D立體創樣”“時裝形象設計”項目高端技術培訓。

In compliance to the requirements of the Made in China 2025 Zhejiang Action Plan”，corresponding to the position of Hangzhou as an international fashion capital in Zhejiang Province, as well as in support of the development of the fashion industry, Hangzhou Wanxiang Polytechnic’s Design and Creativity Department has been designated as the model department to develop and nurture our students to become well informed and well trained for the international fashion and creative industry. Our courses aim to widen our students’ horizons and gain competitive edge following the direction of the “Three Creative Spirits” set by school founder, Mr. Lu Guanqiu. Located in Zhejiang province, our institution aims to generate highly technical and skilled talents for fashion design and modern creative industry in the Yangtze River Delta.

The Design and Creativity Department’s team of faculty and staff is made up by talents and experts in the following five majors- Fashion Design and Crafts, Industrial Design, Business Administration (entrepreneurial management orientation ), Humanity and Art, Ideology and Politics Education. Within these five majors, the Fashion Design and Crafts major is a Priority Major in the National 13th Five-Year Plan and is also a National Core Major.

We have a double-qualified faculty team with exceptional teaching standards and vast induetry experience. The team is well-structured and balanced in the various areas of specialization. Our department has 51 faculty members, including 3 professors and 13 associate professors. 38 faculty members obtained master's degree or above, 28 are double-qualified and 3 are provincial-level team leaders. In the past three years, our faculty were awarded 6 national and provincial teaching and research projects, 3 industry-university collaborative projects in Hangzhou and over 20 provincial and municipal projects such as Zhejiang New Century Education reform project and Zhejiang Classroom Teaching Reform project. The teaching and research level of our faculty has been continuously advancing.

By adhering to the concept of reform and innovation, our department has created a hardworking and pioneering atmosphere both in the studying and teaching environments, attaching importance to the implementation of a holistic approach in educational development.We have achieved extraordinary curriculum results:  numerous course awards from provincial, municipal and college-level recognizing the outstanding quality of our curriculum. Throughout the years, our students have continuously won prizes in National , Provincial and municipal-level competitions , including the world renown IF Award and IDEA award. To date we have earned more than 10 national awards, 50 provincial awards, and 60 municipal awards.

The department integrated the teaching, learning, and doing model to strengthen our students' technical skills.We have more than 30 professional training facilities on campus, including 3-D cutting lab, CAD training room, design studio and more. There are also off-campus practical-training bases such as Zhejiang BaiNiao Clothing Co., Ltd., Huali Maker Community, Hangzhou Tengying Industrial Product Design Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Provincial Museum, May Fourth Constitution Museum, Nanjing Civil War Museum and Du Jinsheng Former Residence. We also earned honors such as  Hangzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage University Research Base, West Lake District Intangible Cultural Heritage University Hall from provincial and central government for our outstanding accomplishment in combining the regional intangible cultural heritage and the cultivation of students' humanistic qualities.

We have continuously elevated our globalization process, and actively promoted international exchanges of students and faculty. In 2019 we held the first international apparel academic seminar on our campus, and subsequently signed cooperation agreements with renowned domestic universities like Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Kunshan University of Science and Technology as well as institutions abroad such as York University in Canada. We have already sent 37 students to Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Design Institute for 3D creation and fashion image design projects and we plan to continue on that path.
